Présentation 

Dans un monde confronté aux urgences climatiques et à des bouleversements systémiques, Villes flottantes, livre sonore en réalité augmentée, s’affirme comme une œuvre profondément engagée. Chaque ville flottante imaginée fait écho à des réponses concrètes aux enjeux environnementaux, observées dans les territoires traversés lors de résidences artistiques dans plusieurs pays : Taïwan, Maroc, Tunisie, Etats-Unis, Brésil, Inde et France. Le projet a été présenté lors de la Conférence des Nations Unies sur l’Océan (UNOC) en juin 2025 à Nice.

Expérience

À travers l’application Under The Starry Vault, le lecteur peut animer trois à quatre dessins par ville. À ces images en mouvement sont associés des haïkus sonores, courtes formes poétiques qui accompagnent la traversée de chaque territoire. Le parcours se prolonge dans l’application par l’écoute d’un journal de bord : celui d’un explorateur du futur, dont la voix guide le lecteur au cœur de ces cités imaginaires. Il y raconte la vie quotidienne des habitants et une nouvelle manière d’habiter le monde.

Comment ça fonctionne?

1. Munissez-vous d’un smartphone et d’un casque audio ou d’écouteurs.

2. Avec votre smartphone, scannez le QR code ci-contre pour accéder à l’application, ou téléchargez directement l’application Under the Starry Vault.

3. Sélectionnez le projet Villes flottantes et la langue de votre choix. Cliquez ensuite sur Toutes les villes. Vous pouvez pré-télécharger les contenus en appuyant sur la flèche.

4. Cherchez sur chaque dessin les éléments à animer et écoutez les poèmes.
5. Placez-vous bien en face de l’élément à animer et patientez quelques instants.

Presentation

In a world facing climate emergencies and systemic upheavals, Floating Cities, an augmented reality audiobook, stands out as a deeply committed work. Each imagined floating city echoes concrete responses to environmental challenges observed in the regions visited during artist residencies in several countries: Taiwan, Morocco, Tunisia, the United States, Brazil, India, and France. The project was presented at the United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC) in June 2025 in Nice.

Experience

Through the Under The Starry Vault app, the reader can animate three to four drawings per city. These moving images are paired with sound haikus, short poetic forms that accompany the journey through each territory. The experience continues in the app with a logbook: that of a future explorer, whose voice guides the reader into the heart of these imaginary cities. There, he recounts the daily lives of the inhabitants and a new way of inhabiting the world.

How does it work?

1. Grab a smartphone and a pair of headphones or earbuds.

2. Use your smartphone to scan the QR code on the right to access the app, or download the Under the Starry Vault app directly.

3. Select the Floating Cities project and your preferred language. Then click on All Cities. You can pre-download the content by tapping the arrow.

4. Look for the elements to be animated in each drawing and listen to the poems.
5. Stand directly in front of the element to be animated and wait a few moments.

Em um mundo confrontado com emergências climáticas e mudanças sistêmicas, Cidades Flutuantes, um livro sonoro em realidade aumentada, se afirma como uma obra profundamente engajada. Cada cidade flutuante imaginada ecoa respostas concretas aos desafios ambientais, observadas nos territórios percorridos durante residências artísticas em vários países: Taiwan, Marrocos, Tunísia, Estados Unidos, Brasil, Índia e França. O projeto foi apresentado na Conferência das Nações Unidas sobre o Oceano (UNOC) em junho de 2025, em Nice.

Por meio do aplicativo Under The Starry Vault, o leitor pode animar de três a quatro desenhos por cidade. A essas imagens em movimento estão associados haicais sonoros, formas poéticas curtas que acompanham a travessia de cada território. O percurso se prolonga no aplicativo com a audição de um diário de bordo: o de um explorador do futuro, cuja voz guia o leitor ao coração dessas cidades imaginárias. Ele conta a vida cotidiana dos habitantes e uma nova maneira de habitar o mundo.

Como funciona?

التجربة
